Dinner and overnight stay is at Camp Wadaa in traditional huts with beds and mosquito nets.
Day 2 Paramaccan culture, walk in the forest & Ampoma falls
After breakfast we depart by korjaal to, a.o. Loka Loka to get introduced to the daily life of Paramaccan people. Then, there will be a nice walk through the jungle and in the afternoon we will have lunch at the biggest rapids in the Marowijne river: the Ampoma falls.
Day 3 Wadaa - Stoelmanseiland - Wadaa
On the program for today there is a tough cruise to Stoelmanseiland (Stoelmans island). During the cruise, we will pass large and wild rapids such as Manbarie and Poligoedoe. Stoelmanseiland once was a colonial post with a school, airport, medical post and a military camp. We will make a tour on the island and have lunch here, before we return to Camp Wadaa.
After breakfast we travel by korjaal to Langa Tabiki, the residence of the great chief of the Paramaccan people, for a visit including a guided tour on the island. From Langa Tabiki we move downstream to Albina, and if time permits, we stop at Apatou (French Guyana). In Albina the tour continues by bus where we arrive in Paramaribo at nightfall.
