Green Adventures Tracks and Trips


Jungle tracks

At the jungle tracks you travel per bus or korjaal through the interiors of Surinam. Your stay will be in basic camps and you sleep in hammocks or beds with mosquito nets. Like the locals, bathing takes place in the river. Your active participation is required, such as; pull the boat trough rapids, set up camps, in- and unload our luggage.

All expeditions will include high level and long (in most cases, full day) hikes to amongst others the peak of Volzberg (mountain), Tebutop or one of the peaks of the Kasikasima mountains.
When finishing an intense climb to the mountain peak there is an overwhelming view of the ‘roof’ of the jungle. A true reward after hard work. Furthermore, during these expeditions walks take place crossing the jungle to find a refreshing waterfall or stream.
As part of the 6- day Nassau mountains expedition we offer a quite intensive hike to the peak of the Nassau mountains.

Canoe trips

Hike – and canoe trips will start from the Kabalebo Jungle resort, which trips are accompanied by local guides. These trips vary from 3 till 7 days. The canoe trips will be executed in Zodiac jungle canoes. We sleep in tents or hammocks, depending on the weather conditions.

Hiking tracks

The trip to Brownsberg mountain will offer you tough, but not very long distance, hikes trough the beautiful tropical rainforest. The accommodation on the Brownsberg mountain is a basic group accommodation.

From Kabalebo Nature Resort we organize 4- day hikes, where you sleep in tents or hammocks. The 4th night of the trip, you will stay in the luxurious Nature resort, with a 2-person bedroom including own facilities.

Prior to your departure you already have a clear picture of the total costs of your trip and you will not loose precious holiday time arranging your travel program at the spot. You will travel individually and stay in good facilities during your nights in Paramaribo.

During your trips through the interiors of Surinam, which will be in a group and accompanied by local guides, you sleep in camps or small huts.
The days in Paramaribo you spend as you please. Of course, our local staff is available to support and to advice you, and give suggestions during your stay.
